Count units defined to cover areas of Dall's sheep habitat in Wrangell St. Elias National Park. Original linework was drawn by Alaska Department of Fish and Game wildlife biologists on several USGS 1:250,000 topographical maps in 1973.The lines were drawn to encompass units of reasonable size for surveys (4-6 hours of effort in fixed-wing aircraft), and used prominent geographical features for boundaries. The units were not intended to define discrete populations of sheep.
