Stream reaches used by steelhead, extracted from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game's (ADFG) Anadromous Fish Streams coverage 2002 draft. The original ADFG coverage combined data on all fish species and was modified by Ecotrust to extract separate coverages for each species.

The underlying hydrography was derived from several sources including: Alaska Department of Natural Resources hydrography layer (1:63,360); USGS Digital Line Graph (DLG) hydrography data; USFS hydrography layers; and ADF&G stream and species information. Key attributes
