Description:

Abstract:: Planning units developed for the Copper River Collaborative. Planning units were created by merging 5th level HUCs (hydrological units). A couple planning units are equivalent to 4th level HUCs, but most are smaller subdivisions, smaller in size than 4th level HUCs and greater in size than 5th level HUCs. Planning units were devised by the Copper River Collaborative to reflect distinct ecological regions of interest and, in particular, distinct stocks or populations of anadromous fish.
Purpose:: to assist Copper River Collaborative in efforts to articulate strategies for conservation and sustainable use of the Copper River basin's resources and fisheries
