This layer was derived by Ecotrust from the Alaska Department of Natural Resources 1:63360 Infrastructure coverage by extracting infra-type 3 (trails).
Metadata is the original 1:63360 Infrastructure coverage metadata except this abstract and the supplementary information.
This data consists of the infrastructure digitized primarily from USGS 1:24,000, 1:63,360, and 1:250,000 quadrangles.
The source document that represented the newest information and best geographic location was used to capture the data. All infrastructure from the primary source document was digitized and then supplemented with the information from other source documents for additional or updated infrastructure or attributes.

The infrastructure at 1:63,360 was created for representation on the state Status Plats. It does not include all of the infrastructure within Alaska. It primarily covers areas where the state has some management interest.
Any hardcopies or published datasets utilizing these data sets shall clearly indicate their source. If the user has modified the data in any way they are obligated to describe the types of modifications they have performed. User specifically agrees not to misrepresent these data sets, nor to imply that changes they made were approved by the Alaska Department of Natural Resources.
In areas of dense road data, i.e. city or subdivision, we may or may not have captured all subdivision or minor roads. An attempt was made to capture main arterials.
