Vegetation map developed for the state of Alaska by Michael Fleming, USFS/USGS, using using the phenology of a vegetation index (AVHRR/NDVI) collected during the 1991 growing season. Polygon coverage derived from grid with 1000 km cell size, scale 1:2,500,000.
