Tam(ADNR) TAPE CREATED BY ADNR ON: 8/5/94 ABSTACT/DESCRIPTION This coastline was originally digitzed from 1:250,000 USGS quadrangle maps. It was a collective project passed from the Alaska Department of Natural Resources -- Division of Oil & Gas, to the North Slope Borough, to the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), to the USGS/EROS Alaska Field Office, and back to Alaska DNR. Several updates were made at Alaska DNR, most notably corrections to the Copper River, coding changes for Baird Inlet, and deletion of extraneous islands in the Aleutians. This is the most detailed digital coastline coverage which is currently available for the entire state. See the lookup table, alaska.afrq for code values.
