Tualatin River Watershed Information System

Partners & Contributors

The Tualatin River Watershed Information System was developed for the Tualatin River Watershed Council by Interrain Pacific with the assistance of numerous partners and contributors. Funding for project development was obtained from several organizations:

• Oregon Community Foundation, Tualatin Valley Water Quality Endowment Fund
• Oregon Department of Forestry
• Oregon Graduate Institute
• Unified Sewerage Agency
• Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District

The development of the information system was guided by an ad hoc steering committee organized by the Tualatin River Watershed Council. Some of these partners include:

• Oregon Water Resources Department, Tualatin Basin Watermaster
• Tualatin Valley Irrigation District
• USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service
• USDI Bureau of Land Management
• United Sewerage Agency
• Washington County Transportation and Planning Department
• Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District

While a few data layers were created by Interrain Pacific, most of the spatial data in the Tualatin River Watershed Information System was acquired from a variety of public agencies. Sources of individual data layers are indicated in the data directory. Much of the data were downloaded from agency web sites or derived from Interrain's data library. At least four local agencies extended particular cooperation in the contribution of specific data to this project:

• METRO
• Oregon Water Resources Department, Tualatin Basin Watermaster
• United Sewerage Agency
• Washington County Transportation and Planning Department

The software application provided for accessing the information on this cd was developed by Interrain Pacific with special funding from the Skaggs Foundation.
