This project has been in the making for several years. Interrain Pacific, formerly Pacific GIS, started gathering data on Willapa Bay in the summer of 1993. Data development continues to this day. The United States Environmental Protection Agency helped fund the project through their Near Coastal Waters Program. Ecotrust and the Willapa Alliance are deeply involved in the Willapa Bay Watershed community and have helped develop much of the data contained herein.
